About half an hour ago, a Malaysian was sent hurtling into space in a Russian Soyuz FG launch vehicle.
The historic moment was aired live over Astro Channel 588. It was just before sunset at the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan when the Soyuz rocket with the Jalur Gemilang slapped onto it blasted into the sunset.
Cameras trained on the rocket until it was a tiny speck of light. Even the 1st stage separation could be seen roughly 2 minutes into the launch. And not long after that, the rocket exhaust started to leave a beautiful plume of contrail-like trail in the sky. Pretty cool I must say! XD
Check out the video I took of the launch. It was taken with a w810i trained on a 29″ TV, you get the picture (pun intended XD).
Anyway, our second physics test is over!! XD
aiya, I missed out the launch just now.
Same here. Went out after the Physics test..couldn’t find a television anywhere at all..=.=
that’s why i took a vid of it. XD
@Free, haha, i headed straight home and switched on the TV and it was one minute into the countdown. XD
