Hrm. Google shouldn't even have picked up that link to your blog in the comments because Wordpress includes the rel="nofollow" tag in all comment links, which specifically instructs Google not to follow that link at all.

Anyhow, I've deleted your comment. No problems with that, I understand your concerns.

Ember, can you please delete my comment above? This post, and the link to my personal blog in that comment, is starting to show on some google searches that I'd rather not have happen.

Sorry about this. Trying to keep a personal blog personal isn't that easy. Sigh.

Wow they're targeting countries? Any idea why anybody is trying to do all these? =(

Sorry to hear that though. I could understand why your clients were pissed off. It's frustrating even though you can't help it.

Why thanks! =D

Recently, there was a DDoS in Malaysia and Singapore as well. The downtime was significant enough to piss off my clients. Sigh.

p.s: Love the blog design especially the tehcpeng page. :)

It is serious. DDoS attack stands for a Distributed Denial of Service attack.

A DDoS attack occurs when someone maliciously floods servers with huge amounts of data, overloading the server and rendering it useless.

As a result, when people try to access a site on the server, it fails to respond and thus, the user would receive an error that the site is down.

@May, *ponders* No, I'm not! =P I'm just worried that my blog would never see the light of day again. =\

@Eli James, you have no idea. =(

Well, ASO plans are a bit costly. I did consider going for them, but I settled for a local hosting company because (1) it's cheaper and (2) I figured my blog would have a majority of local readers.

But the thing is any hosting company would've suffered if someone were to launch a massive DDoS attack on them.

As to why anybody would do that.. I have NO idea. =\
