Az Samad — The Acoustic Guitar workshop
Back in 2004, my aunt who was in charge of Guitar Collection’s organising of an acoustic guitar workshop, offered me a chance to design posters, flyers and tickets for the event.
The workshop is conducted by Az Samad, son of the famous award-winning Malaysian poet, A. Samad Said.
The Posters
These were produced in Adobe Photoshop. The posters were designed in color and later had to be desaturated before heading for the printers. They were then printed in a brown monotone.
The posters were on public display throughout KL, academic and art institutions, Guitar Collections branches and music-related shoplots, you name it.
The Flyers
The flyers were two-sided and were printed on B4-sized papers.

The Tickets
The tickets, on the other hand, were printed in sets of four on an A4 paper. Black and white.
About the Client
Guitar Collection is a retail chain in KL and Selangor specialising in guitars. They offer a wide range of guitar brand selections and accessories. Music lessons are also available. Guitar Collection also organises guitar concerts, seminars, competitions and workshops to further enhance their position amongst guitar hobbyists.
